It's soon december again. And as in almost every city, that means christmas-market-time. Julmarknad in swedish. The most famous one in Stockholm must be the one in Gamla stan. You really can't miss it when walking around in Gamla stan, as it's on Stortorget. It's not as huge as you might know it from cities in Germany for example, but it definitely is worth a visit. It's more the traditionnal way with red huts and it's especially beautiful in the snow. Take a look at the fountain, there might be a surprise there. And you can buy of course the famous Glögg and don't forget to try a Lussekatt:
The market at Stortorget is open daily from 11am until 6pm until 23 december.
Another beautiful christmas-market is at Skansen. I personally prefer that one to the one at Stortorget. You find all kinds of good food, Glögg and kanelbullar and many stands with swedish handcraft. The nice thing is that you can also visit the rest of Skansen after the market, so you can easily spend the entire afternoon there. You have to pay the entry to Skansen and the market it open at every weekend in advent from 10am to 4pm.
